About NASCSP

The National Association for State Community Services Programs (NASCSP) is the premier organization advocating for and enhancing the leadership role of States in preventing and reducing poverty. State administrators of two federal programs—the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)—comprise NASCSP’s membership. Both CSBG, which funds Community Action Agencies (CAAs), and WAP, an energy efficiency program, address the needs of low-income families.
